Switchback Mentors and Trainees had another amazing trip down at River Cottage. Hugh has been welcoming Switchback Trainees to River Cottage HQ and his Canteens over the past five years. Trainees learn about food integrity, develop new technical skills in kitchens and experience the delights of camping; including anything from gutting fish they’ve just caught out at sea to feeding baby lambs. This year Trainees excelled themselves in the food stakes by tasting oysters and making their own cheesecake by torchlight! Trainees even dared to go swimming in the freezing sea!
The next group of Trainees will head down to River Cottage in June and there is a big buzz about it already.
