We have had our first Prison Party.
Wayne Hodges (Head of Reducing Reoffending) talked about why he invited Switchback to start work at HMP Rochester and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall talked about why he supports Switchback.
They both then joined prison staff teams from HMP Rochester and HMP Isis for “tasting games”. Switchback Trainees who had worked all afternoon preparing food turned “Games Masters” and quizzed guests about ingredients and judged their pasta-making skills. Both trainees and officers were proud to see how far they’d come.
